Sohail Munawar has lived in Slough since 1993 with his family and four children. Sohail is a sitting
Slough councillor, and is the Labour Cabinet Member for Social and Economic Inclusion on the
Council. He has been a Councillor for 3 years, and joined the Council’s Executive in 2012. He has
already bought about change, delivering estate improvements and better maintenence of local roads.
This year he has helped expand provision at the cemetary for Muslim burials, with 500 new plots. He
will work hard for you if elected to serve Elliman residents in May.

Arvind S. Dhaliwal lives on Shaggy Calf Lane and represents much of the new Elliman ward as
a current Central ward councillor. Arvind is married with a grown-up family, and works as a BAA
security officer at Heathrow airport. He’s a committed member of the Unite the union. Arvind
also has a track record of local campaigning and is experienced in representing residents’ views,
having been from 2000 - 2004 and since 2008. Arvind is keen to tackle environmental and anti-social
behaviour problems in Elliman, as well as improving the street-scene locally

Fatima Mansoor lives in Hawthorne Crescent, off Stoke Poges Lane. Fatima is married and works as a Financial Consultant. In her spare time, Fatima has helped organise various inter-faith events, encouraging people of different faiths to interact and better understand each other.

She has also volunteered with SPELT (UK), teaching English to women from various ethnic minority communities; helping them to gain confidence and seek productive employment. Living locally,Fatima is passionate about improving Elliman ward - and will work for effective solutions to
anti-social behaviour problems, and to improve the local environment and street-scene if elected.
