Paul Sohal lives on the Wexham Court estate, in The Normans, and has lived in Wexham for
over 30 years. He has been one of your ward Councillors since 2010; although he also represented
residents for a several years in the 1990s as a County Councillor before Slough became a Unitary
Council. Paul recently took early retirement, having worked at ICI on Wexham Road. He also served
for 6 years Chair of governors at The Lea school. An experienced and hard-working Councillor,
Paul hopes to keep improving Wexham Court, Upton Lea & Rochfords Gardens if re-elected in May

Shabnum Sadiq was born and bred in Slough and works as a project manager in a local employability programme. Shabnum has also worked as a lifelong learning tutor for adults with additional support needs.

Shabnum runs a youth club, and has worked closely with Crimestoppers, supporting them in their crime prevention work with young people. She is also a member of the Wexham and Frimley Park Hospital trust, and has been a parent governor at Baylis Court School.

Shabnum has been involved in a number of volunteering projects all across Slough over the years. She is an effective advocate and works hard to stand up for residents.  Shabnum is particularly keen to tackle anti-social behaviour and improve the quality of the environment around the Wexham Court and Upton Lea estates.

Haqeeq Dar is married and has lived in Wexham for 31 years with his family, in Broadmark Road.
Haqeeq has been one of your Wexham Lea Councillors since 2011. Haqeeq runs a local taxi
business and is also involved in managing Stoke Green Cricket Club, to the west of Wexham Road.
An enthusiastic cricket and sports fan, Haqeeq is keen to help deliver improvements to local parks
and open spaces if elected to serve residents again – particularly by securing sports improvements to
the playing field at Preston Road in Upton Lea and upgrading community facilities across Wexham.
